Privacy Policy
Effective June 8, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Brief First("we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with Brief First(the "Service"). Because the Service handles first-contact conversations on behalf of professionals, we treat the information in those conversations as confidential and use it only to operate the Service.
Two kinds of people, two relationships
We collect information from two groups. Customers are the professionals who subscribe to Brief First. Prospectsare the people who talk to a customer's first-contact agent. For prospect conversations, the subscribing professional decides why the information is collected and how it is used; we process it on their behalf to provide the Service.
Information we collect
- Account information from customers — name, email, and billing details needed to provide and bill for the Service.
- Conversation content— the messages exchanged between a prospect and a customer's agent, and the structured briefs generated from them.
- Contact details a prospect provides — such as a name, phone number, or email shared during a conversation so the professional can follow up.
- Usage and technical data — basic logs needed to run, secure, and debug the Service.
How we use information
We use information to provide the Service: to run the first-contact agent, generate briefs, deliver them to the subscribing professional, bill for the Service, provide support, and keep the Service secure. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use prospect conversation content to market to those prospects.
Service providers we rely on
We use a small number of trusted providers to run the Service — including cloud hosting, database storage, and the AI model provider that powers the conversations and brief extraction. These providers process information only to provide services to us, under contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
How we protect information
We use technical and organizational measures to protect information, including access controls that keep each customer's configuration and data separated from other customers'. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to limit who and what can access conversation content.
How long we keep information
We retain information for as long as your account is active, and for a limited period afterward as needed to meet legal, security, and operational obligations. Customers can ask us to delete their data, subject to legal and operational limits.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, or to object to certain processing. Customers can exercise these rights, and help us respond to their prospects' requests, by contacting us. We will respond consistent with applicable law.
Children
The Service is intended for professionals and their prospects. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time; material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
